Śrī Brahma-saṁhitā
Spoken by Lord Brahmā
Commentaries by Śrīla Jīva Gosvāmī, Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura and Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja
Lord Brahmā described in a saṁhitā (compilation) of one hundred chapters whatever essence of pure bhakti he had been holding in his heart in connection with the Supreme Lord. Among those chapters, this Fifth Chapter is most worshipable for Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇavas because it is extremely practical and advantageous for the living entity. Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu personally brought Brahma-saṁhitā from South India for His devotees.
Śrīla Prabhupāda Sarasvatī Ṭhākura
Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu returned from South India with Śrī Brahma-saṁhitā and Śrī Kṛṣṇa-karṇāmṛta, and He told the devotees that they should make a necklace of the teachings therein. Why? Because there is so much siddhānta in them. Without knowing all these subjects, you cannot enter the realm of bhakti.
Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja, May 3, 2003, Los Angeles
This scripture, which is full of brilliantly effulgent transcendental jewels in the form of many philosophical conclusions of bhakti, is an incomparable devotional scripture.
Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja
