Daily Kīrtana Handbook

A collection of essential āratī kīrtanas and bhajanas, presented in an easy to find chronological order, from maṅgala-āratī through to evening (sandhyā) āratī. This small book is most helpful to those who want to begin a daily program in their home or to those who want to participate in an already established program in any of the temples of Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja.

This charming series of lectures given by Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja in Malaysia 1998 was previously published by Śrīpad Hṛṣikeśa Mahārāja in a book entitled Dāmodara-līlā-madhurī. GVP is publishing it for the first time, having listened again to the sound files. It is an excellent introduction to the pastimes of Śrī Kṛṣṇa and the conclusive truth about Him.

Kṛṣṇa – the Lord of Sweetness

When Kindness and Compassion Take a Form

Within these pages, Śrīla Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja gives a brief but comprehensive description of his dear godbrother, Śrīla Bhaktivedānta Vāmana Gosvāmī Mahārāja – his life, his dedication to his gurudeva, his service to Mahāprabhu’s mission, his beautiful example of Vaiṣṇava behavior, and his inner absorption. It also contains some of Śrīla Vāmana Gosvāmī Mahārāja’s highly instructive writings. He was the ācārya of the Gauḓīya Vedānta Samiti and had thousands of disciples, and in line with being a true ācārya, he felt himself to be most insignificant and also brimming with a mood of service to all. This intriguing quality of his will surely attract sincere sādhakas to read this booklet.

Gopī-gīta

In this beautiful song of the gopīs, we are taken to Śrī Vṛndāvana, to the bank of the Yamunā, where the gopīs are expressing the deep pain in their hearts in their separation from Śrī Kṛṣṇa. The moods of their song would be impossible to understand had our venerable ācāryas not revealed them. In Śrī Śrīmad Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja’s commentary, he draws on the meanings they imparted, sprinkling them with the splendid realizations in his own heart, along with well grounded instructions for us all.

Kṛṣṇa’s eternal companions in Vraja each have unique qualities and services. This book gives a brief description of the most prominent servants, honorable superiors, friends, and of course the gopīs with their different allegiances and fascinating services. Such a comprehensive description of Śrī Kṛṣṇa and His associates is not found in any other single scripture.

Śrī Rādhā-kṛṣṇa-gaṇoddeśa-dīpikā

The Gift of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu

This short treatise describes Śrīman Mahāprabhu’s extraordinary compassion upon the souls of Kali-yuga. It focuses on His identity, the three purposes of His advent, a unique description of the eight unprecedented distinctions of His compassion, and His most sacred gift to the souls of this age. Śrīman Mahāprabhu gave full freedom to His unprecedented mercy potency, telling her, “Karuṇā, I surrender unto you. In whichever direction you choose, however far you want to go and to whatever place you want to travel, drown everyone in the flood of prema.”

Śrīla Trivikrama Gosvāmī Mahārāja’s ardent desire was to remain unknown by the world at large and thus completely free to be absorbed in bhajana, or inner devotional sentiments and service. Although he was well known and highly respected in Gauḍīya Vaiṣṇava circles, only a few are aware of the events of his life. A Life of Humble Service presents, for the first time, his story, before he came to the maṭha and after. The article by him at the end of the book, entitled “Kṛṣṇa is Only Hungry for Love,” is an indication of the vital message he carried. His sober spiritual guidance is invaluable to us all.
