Respected Maharaja’s, Vaisnavas and Vaisnavis,
Dandavat pranams. All glories to Sri Sri Guru and Gauranga.
Around the world, the publications of Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja, Srila Gurudeva, are being translated and printed into many languages. These publications are being much appreciated by devotees around the world and the general public, which is very enlivening to see.
It is our pleasure and responsibility to assist with the books translated from English into other languages. For this reason, we have created an online resource for publishers – www.purebhakti.com/gvp. Here you will find resources such as master glossaries, editorial policy, a contact address for translation questions, copyright policy and other information. We have also compiled an online archive of thousands of photographs and artwork for which the contributors have given legal permission to use their work in Srila Gurudeva’s publications, on the condition that they are credited for that work.
At last, the new improved and more complete edition of the “Gauidya Giti Guccha’, our sanga’s songbook, will soon be ready for printing. Throughout the years the song book has been printed and reprinted many times with new songs being added each time. This new edition will include the most complete selection of songs ever, well organized with tabs, be light-weight and have a superior binding for lying flat.
The book will follow the original Bengali Gaudiya GitiGuccha which Param Gurudeva and Srila Vaman Gosvami Maharaja continued to perfect over so many years. Some of the devotees working on the song book live in the Mathura Matha in India and have been working on this new edition for more than a year. They have expressed what has gone into making this new edition:
“Following our Srila Paramgurudev’s brilliant Bengali Gaudiya Giti Guccha we have organized the songs in a way to make it very easy to find the particular song you want to sing without having to look through the table of contents. We’ve also tried to keep everything close to the order that Bhaktivinoda Thakur and Narottama das Thakur kept their songs originally in their own books.”

Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja – Srila Gurudeva prioritized Gaudiya Vedanta Publications, Inc. (GVP) over every one of his projects and over the last 15+ years Srila GurudevafundedGVP’s initiatives. As an introduction, I would like to share something personal, in order to properly set the context for the following presentation on GVP. Srila Gurudeva was very interested in every aspect of GVP’s development and was inquisitive into its publishing needs and personally assured that nothing ever impedeits progress.
Whenever GVP required support and funding, we would approach Srila Gurudeva. When it came to book printing specifically, I personally recall a ‘blank check’ policy and Srila Gurudeva never asked us - ‘What for?’ or ‘When?’ He only inquired as to “How much?” and the funding occurred. Srila Gurudeva’s ears and pockets were always open for GVP. Therefore, asI update and appeal to the mass followers and supporters of Srila Gurudeva, I would like to have your ears open for a moment.
Out of his fathomless compassion, our most worshipful Srila Gurudeva, Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja, bestowed his blessings upon the world through his immaculate translations and commentaries of the life-transforming ancient Vedic literatures. His authority is that he has presented, without adulteration, the Vedic literature and those literatures in pursuance of it.
